Annotation
The aim of the course is to acquire the orientation in problems of electrical drives, control properties of the electrical machines, power semiconductor converters as supply sources for controlled drives and cooperation of electric drives with mechanical load and with high level control systems in mechanical engineering and transport applications.

• The general mathematic model and dynamic properties of asynchronous machine
• Frequency and voltage control of asynchronous machines
• The general mathematic model and dynamic properties of permanent magnet synchronous machine
• Overview of power converters, losses and cooling
• Converters for drives with DC motors
• Inverters for frequency controlled electrical drives, puls – width modulation
• Frequency converters, pulse rectifiers
• Feedback torque, speed and position control in electrical drives
• Feedback control of AC drives
• Design and electromagnetic compatibility of pulse controlled drives
