Anotace
The course is focused on CAD / CAE software products for design of structures in aerospace technology, especially on applications of numerical calculations of flow problems, elasticity and strength and mechanisms.
Osnova
1st Unit (week 1- 3): 3D CAD, ECAD
Principles of parametric modeling in 3D, basics of assemblies and creation of drawing documentation, introduction to electrical engineering CADs

2nd Unit (week 4-6): Numerical solution of fluid flow
Mathematical models of flow, the Euler and Navier-Stokes equations, numerical solution of the task for subsonic and supersonic potential flow. Modeling of turbulence. Geometry modeling, creation of computational grid. Stability of the solution, convergence. Processing of the results.

3rd Unit (week 7-10): Finite element method in elasticity and strength
Beam elements, 1D, 2D and 3D geometry. Generalized forces and displacements. The shell, shell elements, classification of shell elements. FEM calculations of composites. The calculation of the modal properties.

4th Unit (week 10-13): Numerical solution of mechanisms
Creation of the mechanical model, the rigid and yielding body, linking with FEM. Types of boundary conditions and their application.
Osnova cvičení
1st Unit (week 1- 3): CAD and ECAD
Parametric modeling of 3D assemblies, practical design of electronic construction - scheme design and PCB.

2nd Unit (week 4-6): Numerical solution of fluid flow
Practical exercises – the creation of the model and grid, 2D model, 2D compressible flow, 3Dmodel-outer stream, turbulent models, processing of the results.

3rd Unit (week 7-10): Finite element method in elasticity and strength
Practical exercise-1D, 2D, 3D elements, the shell, the shell elements. FEM calculations of laminates. The calculation of the modal properties.

4th Unit (week 10-13): Numerical solution of mechanisms
Creation of the mechanical model, connection with FEM. Application of boundary conditions, the definition of the body motion, joints, and their links.
